Park Circus re-release of Basil Dearden's ground-breaking drama Victim across UK cinemas on 21 July 2017.
The aesthetic quirks and narrative codes of film noir are felt throughout Victim, a fact that's reflected in our new poster artwork which foregrounds the film's stylised lighting, and shadowing, of Bogarde's face as he navigates the closeted underworld of 1960s Soho. The title treatment bears another reference to Victim's noir underpinnings, mimicking the anonymous blackmail letters that circulate among the gay community and which ultimately seal the fate of Boy Barrett - seen here cast in red.
