"The first 100 of the 345 run are a special gold edition. They have a gold inlay trim around the image and are printed on silk textured paper with an opaleque finish.
There are also 10 printer proofs with an embossed P in the lower left corner.
In addition I have read there are three paper types also in this run. Listed in quality order they are Archers, Opalesque and Silk. Silk being the highest of quality of the three."
Circa 1980 by Paradox productions, this run was printed by Black Box Collotypes, Chicago. Collotype is a technique developed in the mid-19th century for reproducing photographs. Utilizing a finely grained gelatin plate (actually a screenless process),collotypes feature an apparent res. of 1250 LPSI. Black Box was the last N.American printer to use this method. Printed on opalesque mother of pearl 100% cotton fiber paper. Paper area is 20" by 27.75" and image area is 23.25"x 16"
