"The drawing that became Secret Green Holloway was done in a huge, slightly shabby room in what I sort of presume was the house of some kind of 19th century Dutch diplomat, in a house on Lange Voorhout in Den Haag. The drawing, done in pen and ink, was destined for something called Secret7â€, a charity auction of 7†record sleeves, but cunningly I scanned it before I sent it to them. It isn’t based on anywhere in particular, but drawing these kinds of things had/has become a sort of compulsion, or perhaps an addiction. But hopefully not the kind of addiction that will end up with me kipping in abandoned houses that never belonged to any sort of diplomat, Dutch or otherwise, and drinking Special Brew. Although actually I quite like Special Brew."
