This kingfisher drawing is part of a series of colour pencil studies Im working on celebrating the Exquisite Everyday. I have long wanted to turn my attention to the stunning array of characterful birds I get to see here in the UK and especially in our cities and they don't come much more stunning than our European Kingfisher.
This piece measures 9" by 7" (actual image size is approx 5" by 6") and has been created with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils on opulently thick 100% cotton Fabriano Artistico HP paper.
