Gathering of Ye Olde Tribes Austin 68 Shelton

This flyer features art by the legend Gilbert Shelton for a show in Zilker Park at the polo tables that took place on May 19, 1968. The happening is advertised as a benefit for The Rag and featured theater, swimming, kite flyin', a barbecued chicken dinner and music from Shiva's Headband, Stone Axe, Austin Recorder Society, Wild Chickens, and Angela Lewis & The Fabulous Rockets - all for $1 in advance and $1.25 at the park. I've seen this in a couple of other places online where it mentions that two of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers make an appearance in this flyer (above the woman with the tambourine) but it definitely features all three. The Freak Brothers made their first appearance in The Rag the same month this concert took place.
