From the Heritage description: Many of Jeffrey Jones' works graced the covers of paperback novels over the years. That, and Jones' work with The Studio, make works from this master much sought by fans. Titled "The Sacrifice", this piece was painted as the cover for the 1969 hardback release of David St. John's novel The Sorcerers.
This dark and foreboding piece is rendered in oil paint on 22" x 36" canvas-covered board. It is open front wood framed to 27" x 41". There are some finger prints in the top edge that seem to have happened before the oil was "set". In Excellent condition.
