The March 1898 issue of The Century featured two prominent articles on the Klondike: "The Rush to the Klondike over the Mountain Passes," by Edward S. Curtis (illustrated with photographs by the author) and "The River Trip to the Klondike," by John Sidney Webb. Gold had been discovered in the Yukon in August 1896, and over the following years, thousands of prospectors attempted the difficult journey there. Some have attributed this poster to Charles H. Woodbury. DFP-I 676.
