"Being Irish, I decided to choose one of the many goddesses native to this small island - the mighty MorrÃgan, meaning 'phantom queen'. Like many Celtic deities she exists in a myriad of forms being seen as both a trinity and singular in nature.
Here I depict her in her common role as a war goddess prior to her metamorphosis into the 'Badb Catha' (Battle Raven)." - Glyn Smyth
