The overlapping boxes in the corners are black over white. This is considered to be a first edition as it was printed at the same time as the version with black over silver boxes. This variant was intended for promotional use prior to the shows, but since the shows sold out quickly, many became available to collecters.Poster commemorating Jerry's 13 night run at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway. Photograph by Herb Greene. Two varieties of first editions exist as well as second editions and fakes. The second edition has a small "2" in the lower left hand corner and fakes are able to be spotted because they don't possess a watermark like the legit posters have. To distinguish the promo from the commemorative which was sold at the shows, look at the small overlapping boxes on the corners, On the first prints sold at the show, the boxes are black on top of silver. On the prints used for promotion, the boxes are black on top of white.
