The Million Volt Light and Sound Rave was an art festival, showcasing electronic music and light shows that was put on by Binder, Edwards & Vaughan. Organizer David Vaughan asked Paul McCartney to contribute a track while painting a psychedelic design on the Beatle’s piano. To his surprise, McCartney agreed and created Carnival of Light for the January 28, 1967 show.
