Fake, the well known Dutch street artist from Amsterdam, is releasing an edition of unique works on canvas, based on the original street art instillation “Street Cred†which was on show in Bristol at Upfest and Amsterdam more recently where a 3m high version was created for the Urban Art Festival.
His work has previously been confused with that of Banksy. Growing up in the city, Fake felt the urge to put a smile on people’s faces through irony and humour as they walked the urban jungle.
One of his iconic works, Fake Love, tells the story of how love can hurt. Seeing people around him being heartbroken inspired him to create this work of art.
Street Cred will be released online on the 2/11/15 via Oliver Clatworthy Fine Art / oliverclatworthy.com. An edition of 20 unique works on canvas. Two variations will be available, 10 gold & 10 Aqua, on a first come, first served basis.
