Notes from the artist:
As a massive fan of both silkscreen printing and ‘The Gunslinger’ I have always been a little disappointed that Stephen King’s magnum opus doesn’t get more print love. My goal with ‘The Gunslinger’ was to create a piece that used bold color and bold imagery to provide a window into King’s story. While my original intention was to feature the famous opening line from the novel somewhere in this piece, I decided to simply show The Man in Black fleeing across the desert as my primary scene. Finally, the decision was made to use a split fountain technique in the printing of the gradient layer which should create some interesting and unique variances from piece to piece.
