10 x Colour Screen Print with Glow in the Dark Ink
Concept: The key themes we wanted this print to touch on are the emotions Bud feels during his decent, so dread, fear and isolation (hence the black space), turning into hope and wonder as he nears the purple light.
Taken from a key final scene with Virgil (Bud) descending into the abyss to diffuse the nuclear bomb; his only light coming from Little Geek as they descend into the darkness. He knows it's a 'one way ticket'; descending to these depths there's no way he'd have enough time or oxygen to make it back to the Deep Core station. As he descends he begins to lose his mind due to the pressure, until he see's the glow of purple light; a glimmer of hope.
