"My contribution to Spoke Art's "Bad Dads" is inspired by the spirit and setting of Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel. When writing the script for The Grand Budapest Hotel, Wes Anderson and Hugo Guinness were deeply inspired by the writings of the early 20th Century Austrian author Stefan Zweig.
Meditating on The Grand Budapest Hotel, my mind naturally gravitated to Austrian artist Gustav Klimt's gold and silver metallic palette, composition, and use of pattern. I wanted my art print to have a period Viennese style. Anderson's character Agatha strikes a Klimtische pose adorned in gold and silver ink, discreetly holding the hotel's concierge Monsieur Gustav H.'s prison-break tools behind her back. Agatha is set against the meticulously recreated period wallpaper pattern from her bedroom." -- Chuck Sperry
