HERRVY MERRTL
So yeah...this happened!
I was commissioned by Heavy Metal Magazine to design their new cover! They were all hush hush because they wanted to also use the art to break the news in Entertainment Weekly that comic writer Grant Morrison was going to take over as Editor-In-Chief. It was a big deal to them and I was honored that they hired me to go nuts and draw it. If my 13 year old self (that used to sneakily flip through this magazine at the grocery store) ever knew that my 100 year old self was going to one day to a cover for them I probably would've lost my mind. This was a bucket-list client I thought I'd never get to check off my list!! Plus my work got featured on EW's website. Now if they only credited me....grumblegrumble.
Heavy Metal and I decided to make an art print that will be available at my booth #4503 and theirs #1529 during Comic Con! See below. Crazy huh?
I'm also scheduled to do a signing with Morrison sometime om Saturday. When I know more you'll know more. If you don't follow me via instagram or whatever maybe you should. Cuz I'll post the info there since everyday will be "crazy day" at the con and I suck at email during that time.
