The title is 'Neversweat' (the name of an old copper mine)
"This is another in the show I'm working on called Rare Earth, inspired by nature itself and what man projects upon and takes from it. Playing with ideas of Abundance vs. scarcity, beauty/destruction, the rare colors of wildlife and of the toxic processes of mining.
This particular piece was inspired by my visits to copper mining country in Montana, where I met some prong horn antelope inhabiting the area around Butte (where both human lives and the landscape were totally eaten up in the quest for copper ore). The latin says "By work everything flourishes", kind of a double entendre as the antelope soldier on, but the area is not flourishing at all despite all that mining work."
