This image was originally chosen to advertise a Dutch museum's exhibition of Andres Serrano's erotic photographs entitled 'A History of Sex'. The exhibition toured the world in 1997, and stopped in Griningen, Holland from February to May. Taken from one of the photographs in the exhibition, 'Leo's Fantasy', the image shocked Holland so much so that church groups protested and conservative groups lobbied a Dutch court to halt distribution of the poster. There was outrage to the point that paint bombs were hurled at the museum walls. The protests were successful and the poster was removed and replaced with a blank that read "Kom zelf maar kijken!" (Come and see for yourself). The publicity brought a record braking 90,000 people to see the exhibit. The poster was withdrawn from circulation and is quite rare.
