Printed in 1893, it was created to sell Dr. Bonn's dentifrices. The artist gives us a very accurate portrait of a turn-of-the-twentieth-century kiosk ( a "Morris Column," as it was called, after the Morris printing firm whose letterpress posters dominated such hoardings). From a small table at the opening to the left, a lady usually sat and sold the day's newspapers and magazines.
