This limited edition lithograph, authorized by Marvel Entertainment Inc, under license to Toon Art Inc, was created to commemorate the Avengers' 35th anniversary.
Using the creations of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the image was penciled by Steve Epting, inked and colored by Tom Palmer, with separations by Paul Mounts and Bongotone, and reproduced onto 120 lb acid-free paper by means of a waterless five-color offset lithography by PJ McNerney & Associates.
This limited edition was produced in 1997 and is comprised of a general edition of 1500 with 150 artist proofs.
Each lithograph bears the Marvel Comics logo, is signed by Stan Lee, Steve Epting, and Tom Palmer, and includes 4x6 color photos of each signing.
Conforming to the practice of fine art printing, the films used to create the edition are destroyed when the edition is complete.
