"This piece is a part of a loose series I’ve been exploring since moving to Portland, inspired by all the nature and flora here. In my early career almost 10 years ago, I used a lot of ink. I’ve been meaning to go back to the medium, utilizing its immediacy and its somewhat unpredictable nature for a while. I’ve been studying old Asian (Korean) ink art, and it’s really been inspiring me, paired with the surrounding nature here in Portland. " - Stella Im Hultberg
