"This body of work was a fusion of text over geometric patterns. When I started getting close to completing these pieces, I started having fun pushing the text behind the patterns, making the work less about the message, and more about the process. I ended up working on all ten pieces at once. I would shuffle them around to allow paint to dry and to also keep them somewhat cohesive. I start with the pattern and built from there. Each element is a reaction from a previous element. I continued to add to them until I felt they are well balanced." -Trav
