I recently offered a small number of people a piece of artwork for a a film of their choice. One person went for the wonderful Being There with Peter Sellers. So I did a straight forward portrait of Sellars as Chance the gardener with the shape of his necktie referencing the famous scene of Chance walking up the central reservation of a busy road with his cane and suitcase toward the Capitol Building in Washington.
