A series from Dark City Gallery, celebrating the very best of British Film and the key moments in British Cinema.
The 10th print in DCG’s British Cinema Series is for Michael Powell's chilling horror film from 1960, Peeping Tom. Mark Lewis (played by Karlheinz Böhm) murders women, using a movie camera to film their dying expressions of terror. This infamous film has become one of the most important British films in cinema history.
Artwork by Swava Harasymowicz (aka SÅ‚awa Harasymowicz). Swava is a mutable award winning graphic designer with her own unique style. Her work could be described as dark, haunting and beautiful.
Swava Harasymowicz seemed liked the perfect match for this project. The poster has a dark and unsettling feel about it, perfectly in-keeping with the film. It also captures the early 1960's period with it's striking style.
The posters are limited edition screen prints and are available at http://www.darkcitygallery.com
