As we enter the last quarter of the year, here are two more prints treading carelessly around the volcanic rim of financial irregularity. The print on the left is called Risk, whilst the one on the right is called Volatility. Both titles are words culled from the index to John Lanchester's book on the financial crisis entitled 'Whoops! - Why everyone owes everyone and no one can pay', a book I thoroughly recommend, and where all the titles for the prints in this series come from, as does the title for the series itself. And this time, I don't think anyone could mistake these prints for jovial nautical scenes. Sorry.
Incidentally, these are the last two prints that will be produced from the series entitled Economic Possibilities for our Grandchildren.
These screen prints are in editions limited to 99, and are priced at £44 each, plus postage & packing.
They are printed at the Slowly Downward Manufactory in yellow, red and black on 300gsm Somerset Satin stock from St. Cuthbert’s Mill in Wells, Somerset.
Each print is sized 250 mm x 200 mm and the paper is approximately 325 mm x 260 mm.
