This color way is inspired by the NYC mural I completed in 2012 in Nolita on the side of The Little Cupcake Bakeshop on Mott and Prince which has been running strong ever since.
Inspired by the Green Revolution in Tehran, Iran I felt an affinity to their struggles and willingness to protest a corrupt government.
I realized we were one in the same, humans working for peace and justice, something I have continued to discuss with many of my works.
This was one of those rare quintessential moments in my life where I knew it was a trigger to something much greater.
Everything about creating this piece felt magical, and I see it as the birth of my artistic career in many ways.
