This is the eighth in a series of small prints - fragments, adapted, reused, repurposed - of Lost Angeles, each of which will be the same size and the same price (£44). The edition size has been increased to 70. This print is called Spreading Contagion, which, perhaps self-evidently, refers to the infectious nature of financial scares, booms, busts, runs, scams, schemes and so on. It's also a term used by the financial industry to help persuade policy-makers to offer, er, emergency stabilization.
The overall title of this tiny web shop - Economic Possibilities for our Grandchildren - is the title of an essay written in 1930 by John Maynard Keynes.
Spreading Contagion is an edition of 70; the print is approximately 25cm x 20cm on Somerset® Satin paper from St Cuthberts Mill in Wells. (The paper is approximately 30cm x 25cm.) It is printed with three colours; yellow, black and red.
