This poster was for a Halloween blue grass concert. My challenge was to combine the 2 seemingly incongruous elements into one design and I didn't want to do any overdone theme such as Frankenstein. My solution was to illustrate a squirrel - blue grass theme - holding an acorn jackolantern for Halloween. I looked at a lot of old blue grass posters and they often used wood type. So I illustrated all the type by hand and then took it into Adobe Illustrator for the finished piece.(Junichi Tsuneoka)
