Very rare 1972 Audio Tape Records promotional poster manufactured to promote The Beatles Alpha Omega 4 LP Box Set which was being advertised on Television across America at the time. This 4 LP Box Set was an unauthorized recording but was being sold to collectors all across the USA at the time via TV and Radio commercials.
Apple Records soon got involved and filed a law suit in NY state court but not before tens of thousands of the box set were sold. This prompted the issue of the 1973 Apple Records releases The Beatles 1962-1966 and The Beatles 1967-1970 double albums. The LP set included 60 Beatles songs and even some solo-Beatle songs. It was a great set of records to own at the time and the artwork on the box set was terrific too!
During 1972 Audio Tape produced 2 very rare promotional posters for the box set, one banner poster and this larger poster. Only a handful of these posters exist today as most of the Alpha Omega albums were sold by mail order, but a few record stores in the NY/NJ area carried the LP for sale in their retail outlets, thus having a need for promotional posters.
