Roger Gastman (collector, curator, graffiti historian and urban anthropologist) will be releasing a new screen print, Stops Rust. Printed on French's Muscletone Pure White Cover it is an 18x24 inch, 9-color hand-pulled screen print, edition of 75 and will cost $100. Printed and designed by POP!NK Editions (www.popinked.com).Â
The release coincides with his exhibition Tools of Criminal Mischief, opening this Saturday, June 7th from 8-11pm and running through June 21st at the Seventh Letter Flagship Store and Gallery. For more info visit www.rogergastman.com.
Tools of Criminal Mischief represents the humor and independence of the underground through the methods of misconduct and delinquency. Highlights of the collection span from a wall of 30+ anti-graffiti signage, strange Craig’s List ads, anti-drug photographs and propaganda, original graffiti Garbage Pail Kids cards from around the world, spray paint can prints, and a wall of unusual original and found art significant to Gastman’s personal tastes.
To celebrate this exhibition, Gastman and artist THANK YOU X collaborated on a TOCM capsule collection of merchandise (t-shirts, tanks, socks, hats, and more) that The Seventh Letter will release and have available for sale at their Flagship Store, select retailers, and online at theseventhletter.com
