La Gran Roca de Filadelfia ("The Great Stone of Philadelphia" also known as "The Grand Rock of Philadelphia"), in ochre and sepia tones, uses a combination of real elements to create a beautiful sensation of unreality, producing an impossible urban landscape made up of empty houses, cars and advertisement panels.

Arnau Alemany was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1948. He studied at the prestigious Massana School of Art of Barcelona, from which he graduated with honors. Alemany is Spain’s foremost painter of surrealistic environments and industrialized cities of the past/future, and is recognized worldwide as one of today’s leading surrealists. He is included in the new Spanish Surrealist Museum along with Salvador Dali and others, in addition to having works in numerous private collections and museums worldwide. He produces both original oil on canvas works and we also offer an extensive collection of lithographs. Each lithograph is hand signed and numbered by Alemany, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
