This is the fourth of a planned series of small prints - fragments of Lost Angeles - each of which will be the same size, the same price (£44), and in editions of 44. This print is called Sub-Prime, and refers to the particular kind of mortgage that was deliberately offered to people who had very little real hope of paying it back.
The title of this tiny web shop - Economic Possibilities for our Grandchildren - is the title of an essay written in 1930 by John Maynard Keynes.
Sub-Prime is an edition of 44; the print is approximately 25cm x 20cm on Somerset® paper from St Cuthberts Mill in Wells. (The paper is approximately 34cm x 27cm.) It is printed with two colours; the red and black of the tabloid newspapers I delivered in the 1980s as a paperboy.
