Piece is drawn with Archival Ink on Archival Paper
The paper is then stained with Walnut Ink I make from my neighbor's walnut trees
Then, it is mounted to a hand cut Oak 3/4" Plywood panel, and coated with multiple layers of Matte Varnish for protection. (Piece can be cleaned with a soap and rag)
The panel is ready to hang and "floats" 3/4" off the wall on all sides.
This work is about Protection. The Terrapin Turtle represents that creatures that offer us spiritual protection also require us as humans to honor their physical protection, it is a mutual relationship that we both gain from when properly practiced.
