Now that the tour has officially ended I've released my artist proof edition of the What the Funk tour poster. When I was originally given this assignment my brain went to one place. When I think of "funk" the first thing that comes to mind is the "bowchickabowow" of classic blaxploitation film soundtracks. I have an obsession with several of these soundtracks such as Gene Page's Blacula, Willie Hutch's Foxy Brown & Rudy Ray Moore's Dolemite just to name a few. It's one of the first things I search for when I find a record shop. There's just something positively timeless about the funk and soul of these soundtracks on vinyl! Sooo, since this is what I think of when I think of "funk" I decided to present this tour poster as a vintage blaxploitation film poster. Keller loved the idea and even sent over a few requested selfies posing as a badass...now that's a dedicated artist! Anyway, this poster is an 18x24", 7 color screen print with a limited edition of 30 artist proofs. It's available for $30.
