"So if you haven’t caught on by now, I’ll lay it out straight – there’s a lot of tongue-and-cheek in this series. The boys definitely don’t wear mustaches like those every day. Seth’s is actually pretty close to his own, but Scott and Bob’s facial hair have definitely been exaggerated. Uniformity was an aim throughout the art, hence the like gray 3-piece suits and funny bowler hats. So when it came to facial hair I didn’t want one mustache, one beard, and a clean shave as would have been signature to there likenesses. To tell the truth, there really was no turning back when late in the design I put a big ol’ Tom Selleck mustache on Bob.
