Monk Parakeets are not native to North America, but were accidentally introduced via the pet industry. They have been thriving in colonies in unlikely places like Chicago for many years now. The can also be found in Austin, Houston, Florida, and even Brooklyn NYC. This painting is on handmade Twinrocker brand cotton rag watercolor paper. It is signed, and stamped with artist's chop mark on the backside.
