"This painting deals with the duality that resides within all men. The seemingly schizophrenic desire to both love and hate, build and destroy, kill and nurture etc etc… I thought that an image of someone praying after a horrible action was a good way to sum up this inner conflict that we all wrestle with.
This piece was part of my RedRum series that was shown at my “What A Wonderful World†show at La Luz de Jesus gallery this past October. My paintings in this show all had similar themes and color compositions, and was centered around the darker side of humanity. "My artwork is a reflection of my life,my thoughts, and feelings. Currently I'm doing paintings that bring to light the savagery of the current system, and those who support and perpetuate it. My other interest right now is the changing minds of people all over the world. People that are better understanding the darkness of human society, and want to change themselves and their understanding of life, and human progress . These are amazing times that we live in, and I'm trying to put that in my work. I don't like the title of oil painter, or graffiti artist.
