The climax of the War of the Gods story line comes to a head in this stunner John Romita Jr. cover. Thor & the Destroyer face off against the Dark Gods in this explosive wrap-around cover art from the later 1990s reboot of the Thor series. This is one of the nicest pieces by Romita Jr we have ever seen and an unusual opportunity to acquire a Wrap-Around (Double Sized) Cover from an important part of a popular story line. Romita Jr. has worked extensively for Marvel over the past 30 years producing work for many of their most popular titles. He did both the covers and interior art for the Thor series re-launch in 1998, which make the thunder god one of the characters with which he is associated in the era. Inked by the great Klaus Janson, this is a very nice example of his efforts on the run, featuring two of Marvel's powerhouse characters.
