This print was created as part of the Made In The Midwest exhibition, presented by Galerie F in Chicago, opening November 22nd, 2013.
"Gates" depicts the EJ&E Calumet River railroad bridge, a Warren Through Truss-type bridge built in 1974 by the American Bridge Co. The EJ&E bridge lies just west of the Illinois-Indiana state line and is readily visible from I90. It is the first bridge inbound shipping must pass under when entering the Port of Chicago from the Great Lakes.
