i’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to create a print based on the original g.i. joe animated miniseries, “a real american hero†(aka, “the MASS deviceâ€) for acidfree gallery. despite a burning desire to draw zartan and roadblock, i limited my character choices to ones who appeared in that iconic 1983 series. the upside of that self-imposed limitation? i had to illustrate snake eyes in his commando mask as opposed to the more commonly seen visor that he adopted in the following miniseries.
