Each edition of prints from Masthay Studios begins with the Original Artwork, hand drawn by the artist using pastel pencils and charcoal. The original drawing is the foundation for the edition, you can see the thought process of the artist as the concept for the image literally comes to life on the paper. Look closely and you will see additional eraser and pencil marks showing the progression of the image. For those interested in the process of creating art these drawings are an absolute must.
A generous portion of the proceeds to benefit The Mockingbird Foundation.Also to be released on that day are five different variants in extremely limited editions, Artist Proofs on blue and steel grey paper, and the original design sketch and printing plate.
