From the artist, Jennifer Strich: "SO! This is my latest work, a one-of-a-kind piece for Press Paws! The theme for the show is “animals in video games.â€
I have Scott (my husband, a.k.a. DibsOnRed) to thank for giving me the idea of choosing Missile (Ace Attorney series) for my subject. The first time you encounter Missile, hilarity ensues. Seriously, I can’t watch his introductory scene without laughing every time.
One of the things Missile is known for is his LOVE of Samurai Dogs — Steel Samurai themed hot dogs. That led me to making my piece in the style of a ‘50’s-ish ad for the hot dogs. I also had to have Maya in there — she’s one of my absolute favorite video game characters. ♥
So… yeah! You’ll be able to see this and lots of other amazingly awesome works at Press Paws (February 9th from 2 PM to 8 PM at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, CA). Don’t miss it! :)"
