"This was the print I had made before changing the image to the one that is now sold out.Amethyst was a young girl who became the victim of a drunk Dionysus, when she called out to the goddess Diana she was turned into white shining stone (quartz). Dionysus, realizing what he had done cried with remorse into his wine goblet and it spilled seeping into the white stone of Amethyst making it purple in colour, as we know it today.
