Linus: "I never thought it was such a bad little tree. It's not bad at all, really. Maybe it just needs a little love."

It's a perfect tree Linus, Charlie did us all proud and so did Mr. Schulz!

Dark Hall Mansion, www.DarkHallMansion.com, is excited to release our Officially licensed 2012 Peanuts print for Charles M. Schulz' masterpiece, "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

On sale next Friday, Nov 9, 2012 at 9:30 AM PST so there's plenty of time to enjoy Charlie, Linus, Snoopy, Lucy, and a most extraordinarily inspiring little tree, all together for your Christmas and holidays.

Artist Laurent Durieux, who we first introduced to you almost a year ago now, has masterfully captured the depth and pathos that is "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Always aspiring to something just a little different on a classic legacy, all of us at DHM were struck by the beauty, elegance and quiet resonance of Laurent's piece from the moment we first saw his initial Christmas work. We think every Peanuts fan will share our feelings; the depth of empathy for Charlie and our own place in this world, all so beautifully explored in Charlie's simple upward gaze that is so much more.

Charlie Brown: "I guess you were right, Linus. I shouldn't have picked this little tree. Everything I do turns into a disaster. I guess I really don't know what Christmas is all about."[shouting in desperation] "Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?"

Linus Van Pelt: "Sure, Charlie Brown, I can tell you what Christmas is all about."

Laurent's quiet moment of reflection is directly emotional and complimented beautifully by a palette of dark blues against a frosty night. His Variant by contrast is celebratory, joyous and allows us all to join Charlie in perhaps his greatest moment of triumph, one from the soul, one celebrated in song as well as spirit.

So join your old Peanuts friends, ones that show us all just how much we really need one another, how much we all yearn and question, and just how far a little hope can take us. There's just something that speaks to our collective memory and warms the soul with that final communal yell that expresses it all:

Everyone: "Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!!"

Charlie Brown: "I've killed it. Oh! Everything I touch gets ruined."

Never, Charlie, just remember what Linus reminds us all:

Linus Van Pelt: "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'"

Linus picks up his blanket and walks back towards Charlie Brown:

Linus Van Pelt: "That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown."

Merry Christmas everyone, God bless,
