Hmmm. Since 1986 the US Mint has issued gold coins marked $50. If $50 isn't money I don't know what is. And before Roosevelt stole (oops, did I say that out loud?) the people's $5, $10, and $20 gold coins (also issued by the US Mint for decades) in 1933 the US Dollar and gold were considered one and the same. Sounds like the US Mint, Treasury, Ft. Knox, and the Central Banks the world over continue to disagree with their Master.
And seriously, what the hell happened to all the gold under the twin towers that the NY Fed was custodian for? Last I checked unaccounted for during the 9/11 chaos...and still unaccounted for.
Or is it all one big fat LIE? Irony? You decide :)
