"Steve Thomas is our favourite american artist and we have been delighted to bring him into our Thunderbirds art Programme. His first offering, Countdown to Victory is A-MAZING!!!!!!
We love everything he puts his hand to, and are especially proud of his version of the british classic that he has also loved since a child. International Rescue is an International Favourite!

This edition is signed, hand-numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Thunderbirds is a British mid-1960s science fiction television show devised by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson and made by AP Films using a form of marionette puppetry dubbed "Supermarionation". The series followed the adventures of International Rescue, a secretive organisation created to help those in grave danger using technically advanced equipment and machinery launched from its hidden Tracy Island base. The series focused on the head of the organisation, ex-astronaut Jeff Tracy, and his five sons who piloted the "Thunderbird" machines. Its London agent, Lady Penelope, also featured as a frequent guest-star."

From the artist, Steven Thomas: "Perhaps it's because I have British parents and we visited relatives in the UK growing up, but I was exposed to the Thunderbirds at an early age. Of course the shows I saw were re-runs, but that didn't matter. I thought they were pretty cool. There was even a live action movie made not too long ago (I haven't seen it).

ArtYouGrewUpWith asked me to come up with a few posters to showcase this trip down memory lane. This poster is the first. I admit I took some liberties with how the vehicles fly (4 is an underwater vehicle, if you look closely you can see bubbles around it). They also have others available by other artists.

The print is in an edition of 95, Giclee on paper. They each come signed, numbered and with a certificate of authenticity."
