Published in 2000, the first Batgirl monthly comic featured Cassandra Cain as the title character. Raised by an assassin and not taught spoken language, Cassandra could only communicate through body language, which enabled her to “know” something was wrong the moment she walked into a room. Since Cassandra Cain—and long before—artists have conjured up their own versions of Batgirl, whether in comics, on screen or in artwork like this digital print by Lora Zombie. This work is from a limited edition of 150 prints, each signed and numbered by the artist.
