Stand-up comedy has always been one of my vices, I remember when I used to live in NY I would frequent comedy clubs with friends and sometimes just by myself. These modern day geniuses seem to walk through the fire, bring light to tragedy. Often we don’t heal, if we can’t look back at something and laugh at it. They craft their words with timing, physicality and effect just to bring it to a level all their own, often copied but never duplicated. My subject for my upcoming show “Is This Thing On 2” at Gallery 1988 Melrose (March 9, 2012) is one of my favorite comedians Patton Oswalt.
His prolific views and studies of human behavior through hilarious anecdotes and arguments, reminds me of an observer from another world."
