From the artist, Kyle Norris: ""Offering" (For Larry David)/IS THIS THING ON? 2
I'm really excited about the upcoming show at Gallery 1988 Melrose; firstly, because I got to pay tribute to a brilliant comedian whose work I am very fond of, and secondly, because the opening reception is going to be hosted by one of my childhood idols, Weird Al Yankovich! The show is called "Is This Thing On" 2: The Weird Year, and it opens Friday, 2/9 at 7 PM. As always, it's got lots of great artists in it and you should definitely go check it out if you can. You can read more about the show HERE.
I received a long list of great comedians to choose to depict for this show, and I quickly singled out Larry David, as 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' is one of my absolute favorite shows. If you are a die-hard fan of the show like I am, you should be able to identify quite a fair amount of jokes from the show in there. Everyone else, I really have no idea what you'll make of this..."
