Gallery 1988 asked us to create a poster for their "Multiplayer x2" show which has the theme of classic video games. Metroid was one of the first games that made me miss school because I could not stop playing. The use of music and color made the game truly mysterious and creepy to me and the added shock of Samus (no, the hero is not named Metroid) was a woman cemented this as a classic. I always imagined Samus as take off on Ripley from the Alien series - beautiful but tough, alone in her mission. Comes in two color editions - Ripley or Kraid."
