Salzwedel's most recent body of work will be presented at the George Billis Gallery in Culver City, Spring 2012. The focus of the work will be on Turn of the Century bridges (1890-1914) in mid-constuction. From New York's East River Bridge, to Eads Bridge in Illinois to the St. Vincent bridge in Los Angeles. They capture a moment as if civilization had suddenly abandoned these cities leaving behind the decrepit construction of bridges now overgrown with foliage and old trees, as nature had originally intended.
